ATLANTA - July 26, 2011 - Great American Cookies® announced today the winners of the brand's first-ever Great American Mom Contest. The contest, hosted at March 15th through May 10th, received nearly 900 entries from across the country. To enter, participants were asked to share with the world, in 200 words or less, what makes their mom a "Great American Mom." Visitors to the website were also able to help Great American Cookies select the winners by voting for their favorite entries online. Great American Cookies is managed by GFG Management, LLC, a subsidiary of Global Franchise Group.

The 2011 Great American Mom Grand Prize winner is Dimity Easley of Littleton, Colorado. Easley's winning essay praised the selflessness and caring nature of her mother, a single parent and Administrative Dean at a local magnet school. According to Easley, the Four Seasons® spa getaway will help send her mother on "her first real vacation in about 10 years."

Two Runner-Up prizes have also been awarded to Jonathan Roth of Greer, South Carolina and Ericka Barber of Eureka, California. Roth and Barber each received a $250 American Express® gift card to share with their mother.

"We were thrilled to receive so many heart-warming stories and tributes to mothers from people across the country," said Jenn Johnston, chief marketing & operations officer for GFG Management, LLC. "We would like to thank everyone who entered this year's contest and congratulate the winners on their outstanding entries."
